A first time visit to a church can be intimidating if you don't know what to expect, so let us walk you through a visit:
When should I arrive?
Coffee and Breakfast food are served starting at 9:30 AM in our Sunday Cafe (Walk through the main double doors, turn right, and keep walking straight until you enter the Cafe). Please feel free to come early so we can get to know you over a cup of coffee (or tea if you prefer). If you'd like to just slip in on your first visit, our worship service begins at 10:00 AM. We dim the house lights, so please arrive a few minutes early so you can find a good seat. The Worship Service generally lasts an hour and 15 minutes. Dress is casual, but if you want to dress up, that's ok too. You'll find a combination of both.
We have connection cards placed in the back pockets of the chairs, so we can have a record of your visit. Please fill it out and place it in the offering plate. Please don't feel obligated in any way to give a donation.
We have created a very friendly, laid-back atmosphere where you can feel at home. If you want to socialize, fine. If not, that's ok too.
What do you have for children?
All elementary programming (1st - 6th grade) is located in the GraceTrack area located next to the kitchen behind the sanctuary, just past the Cafe. This is an upbeat, lively time for kids. Ask one of our hospitality hosts where to go. Your kids will have a great time! Our GraceTrack kids program is Sunday at 10 AM and our PitStop kids program is Wednesday at 7 PM in the GraceTrack room.
All preschool (Infants - Toddlers - Kindergarten) is located in GraceTown, just past the church offices side of the building (turn left when you enter through the main double doors). We encourage parents to drop their children off with qualified care-takers who will sing with and talk to them about Jesus, regardless of what age they are. You and your child will enjoy the Grace Pointe experience much more in your age appropriate areas. If this is your first time bringing your children (especially the little ones), please arrive 10-15 minutes early in order to fill out the required security information sheet, and to allow your child to adjust to a new environment before the final big rush of kids right before church starts.
We have a system in place to contact you if your child requires attention during the service.
What if I have a middle/ high schooler?
Our regular worship service relates to all ages. We encourage middle & high schoolers to worship with their families on Sunday morning. If you want something specifically geared toward middle/ high school agers, please check Youth link on the menu to the left. Youth also meets on Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM.
What if I have a college aged son or daughter?
The Search is a young adult community that is designed for people 18-24 at any point in life. The Search meets Wednesday nights at 7:00PM. Please check out the link on the left.
What if I need to talk to a Pastor or Counselor?
Let one of the hospitality hosts know and we will be sure to introduce you to one of our Pastors or Counselors. They will be happy to sit down and talk to you.
If your question has not been answered here, please contact us or ask a hospitality host when you arrive.
See you soon!
